Statue of Unity, world’s tallest statue, is now connected by railway with different parts of the country. Hon’ble Prime Minister ShriNarendraModi flagged off eight trains today via video conference connecting Kevadiya to HazratNizamuddin, Varanasi, Rewa, Dadar, Chennai, Pratapnagar. The newly-built Kevadiya railway station is the first in the country with Green Building certification.
Effective from January 18, Ahmedabad-Kevadiya Jan Shatabdi Special Express will depart from Ahmedabad at 15:20 hrs and arrive at Kevadiya at 18:20 hrs on the same day on daily basis. The halt stations will be Nadiad, Anand, Vadodara Jn., Dabhoi and Chandod. The return train will depart from Kevadiya at 20:20 hrs and will arrive at Ahmedabad at 23:05 hrs on the same day.
Another train to be departed from Ahmedabad on regular basis is Ahmedabad-Kevadiya Jan Shatabdi Express. It will depart from Ahmedabad at 07:55 hrs and will reach Kevadiya at 10:40 hrs. The return train will leave Kevadiya at 11:15 hrs and will reach Ahmedabad at 14:00 hrs.
Other soon-to-be operational trains include Dadar-Kevadia express (Daily), Mahamana Express (Weekly), Kevadia-Rewa Express (Weekly), two MEMU trains running between Pratagnagar to Kevadiya, Chennai-Kevadia Express (Weekly) and H NizamuddinKevadiaSamparkranti Express (Bi-Weekly).
